Rules
- Classes will be shown in order listed.
- Gilts may not be shown in both breeding and market classes.
- Market animals are not eligible for breeding classes.
- Market hogs must weight between 225-290 to sell.
- Market swine must be weighed in to be able to show. No reweighs.
- Limit of 23 hogs sold.
- Swine exhibitors must have identified their pigs with Weld County in order to be eligible to sell.
- Limit of 5 head per exhibitor can be tagged and only 3 weighed in for market swine classes.
Showmanship
All exhibitors are eligible to compete in their respective species.
- Jr Showmanship: Open to exhibitors ages 8-13. Age is as of January 1 of the current year. Grand and Reserve Jr Showman are eligible for Sr Showmanship.
- Sr Showmanship: Open to exhibitors ages 14 and up. Two finalists plus an alternate will be chosen to participate in the Round Robin on Friday.
Round Robin
After the Beef Market Show, Senior finalists from Beef, Lambs, Hog, Horses, Dairy, and Goats will compete for the Round Robin buckle donated in memory of Charlie Starks.
- Once a competitor has won Round Robin, they are not eligible to compete in Round Robin again, but can still compete in Showmanship.
