If you’d like to purchase an animal during the Market Livestock Sale, you’ll need to obtain a buyer number prior to the sale. Buyers attending the auction live on-site will register with the Southeast Weld County Jr Fair & Rodeo at the fairgrounds.
- This Year’s sale will be Live Only
- Animals are sold by the head, not by the pound.
- The resale value for each animal will be included on the sale bill and given to you prior to the sale.
- All animals are property of the buyer immediately after purchase.
This is a Terminal Livestock Sale
All animals purchased at the Southeast Weld County Jr Fair & Rodeo Market Livestock Sale must be harvested by a meat processor.
The Southeast Weld County Jr Fair & Rodeo accepts payment for all Market Livestock Sale purchases via check. Please make your check payable to the Southeast Weld County Fair Association.

When you purchase an animal at the Southeast Weld County Jr Fair & Rodeo Livestock Sale, you’re not only supporting our local 4H and FFA youth, you’re also purchasing high-quality, home-raised meat. You have two options for the animals you purchase; just let us know which option you prefer after you place your winning bid.
Custom Slaughter
Choose one of our four local butchers to process your meat. We’ll transport your animals to the butcher of your choice immediately after the sale. You’ll need to provide cutting instructions to your selected butcher; we recommend submitting your cut sheets immediately after the auction ends. You are responsible for processing fees and picking up your meat from your selected butcher.
If you would like to support our local 4H and FFA youth but would prefer not to process the animals you purchase, you can choose the resale option. Just let the auction clerk know you would like to re-sell the animal. You’ll pay the difference between the sale price and the resale price.
You can also choose to donate the animal back to the fair board. If you choose this option, you will pay the full purchase price of your winning bid.

Absentee Bidding
If you’re unable to attend the auction but would still like to support our local 4H and FFA youth, High Plains Bank can bid on your behalf. If you have a designated dollar amount you’d like to donate to exhibitors selling in the Market Livestock Sale, High Plains Bank can combine your donation with the donations from other bidders to purchase an animal. Your name will be announced during the auction as a purchaser, along with the other buyers in your group. Please contact Krista at High Plains Bank if you are interested in absentee bidding.
