Breeding Classes

Breeding classes are determined the day of the show.

Market Classes

Goats will be shown in weight classes that are determined after all goats have weighed in. Each exhibitor can only weigh in 3 market goats. No reweighs. Eleven goats are eligible for the livestock sale

  • Market Goats (55-120lbs)
  • Lightweight Goats (under 55lbs): Ribbon
  • Overweight Goats (over 120lbs): Ribbon
  • Catch-It Goat: Ribbon

Showmanship

All showman are eligible to compete in their respective species.

  • Jr Showmanship: Open to showmen ages 8-13. Age is as of January 1st of the current year. Grand and Reserve Jr Showman are eligible for Sr Showmanship.
  • Sr Showmanship: Open to showmen ages 14 and up. Two finalists plus an alternate will be chosen to participate in the Round Robin on Friday.

Round Robin

After the Beef Market Show. Senior finalists from Beef, Lambs, Hogs, Horses, Dairy and Goats will compete for the Round Robin Buckle donated in memory of Charlies Starks.

  • Once a competitor has won Round Robin, they are not eligible to compete in Round Robin again, but can still compete in Showmanship.
