Rules
- Exhibitors must have completed a pre-livestock interview to be able to participate in the horse show.
- If your county does not require a pre-livestock interview, you must sign up for an interview by going to the Weld County 4-H website at www.Weld4H.org.
- Go to the bulletin board and click on Pre-Livestock Interview.
- If you have any questions, you can contact the Weld County Extension office at 970-304-6535.
- A vet check is required for horses at check in.
Showmanship
All exhibitors are eligible to compete in their respective species.
- Jr Showmanship: Open to exhibitors ages 8-13. Age is as of January 1 of the current year. Grand and Reserve Jr Showman are eligible for Sr Showmanship.
- Sr Showmanship: Open to exhibitors ages 14 and up. Two finalists plus an alternate will be chosen to participate in the Round Robin on Friday.
Round Robin
After the Beef Market Show, Senior finalists from Beef, Lambs, Hog, Horses, Dairy, and Goats will compete for the Round Robin buckle donated in memory of Charlie Starks.
- Once a competitor has won Round Robin, they are not eligible to compete in Round Robin again, but can still compete in Showmanship.
